The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society

Contrary to the tongue-twister of a title, this is a fairly straight forward movie and an Austen-worthy romance. It is a breath of fresh air in the ocean of unnecessarily complicated love stories of today. The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society is a very bookish-romance indeed!

This book is a collection of short stories, of ordinary people from Karachi. Each of these stories converge at a bomb blast that took place at Cantt Station. A Psychological Roller-coaster Ride- Dark Places by Gillian Flynn

Flynn's writing is scary, the kind of scary that makes you want to keep turning pages to find out what happens next. It is amazing really how none of the characters she paints are likable, Characters aren't likeable but are unforgettable. It is Flynn's writing style and the storytelling make the book itself is an absolute gem of a thriller!

Doors to a Possible Future : Exit West by Mohsin Hamid

With Brexit, wars in the Middle East, Trump putting restrictions on specific countries and millions of people getting displaced. The subject matter, that is immigration of persons from war-torn countries is the most relevant today.
